POWERS: Gypsies are a lot like witches when it comes down to being able to cast spells and even brew potions. Gypsy magick is often referred as the sister craft of witchcraft. Gypsies may cast spells, brew potions, and have the power of clairvoyance, although some are limited to simply doing palmreadings. Jaelle is able to cast spells as well as brew potions. Jaelle does not have the power of clairvoyance, however she does have the power of premonitions- seeing into the future and or past with the touch of a person, or object. Generally, Jaelle sees a great deal in her visions, able to predict accurently what is going to happen, or what has happened.
Jaelle has no physical power so to speak. She is still a novice when it comes to spells. Curses are a gypsies strong point, and something Jaelle has shown a great skill in. Curses are a lot like spells, the subtle difference being that curses last for generations where as spells are not as long lasting. Curses can not cause someone to die, just cause great misfortune. Spells are alot more complicated than curses in the sense that while spells don't last as long, they can leave behind just as much damage should the right spell be used. While Gyspies can use their magick for their own uses, they must be careful of karma, which has a funny way of coming back and bitting someone in the butt when one least expects it.
Jaelle's gift is the strongest when she is able to touch something or someone, and it is hindered when her hands are gloved, which causes the images she sees to be disorted and in some cases she doesn't actually see anything. Jaelle's gifts are believed to come from her mother's mother, who was once a great woman of poewr. Some gypsies call Jaelle's gift of sight the evil eye- and while they don't see it as evil in most cases there are times they believe that Jaelle should not be able to see- for instance they do not believe that Jaelle has the right to see death.
POWER RELATED WEAKNESSES: Weaknesses are something everyone has, and Jaelle is certainly no exception. One of the most known of her weaknesses is the fact that her third sight is better when she is able to touch something using skin contact. When her hands are gloved, then the images either come in too blurred to understand, or they don't come at all- which is what Jaelle prefers when she does wear gloves. Something most people don't realize about Gypsies and their curses is that when they curse someone, they are committing themselves- and should it go on through generations their unborn relatives- to the person they are cursing. They are conntected to the cursed in an initimate way that sometimes allows for the Gypsy to hear the cursed's thoughts- though that really depends on the levelty of the curse. Should there be many people a Gypsy has cursed, the connections can become too strong, and in a sense the Gyspy can become with drawn and in some cases crazy. Spells are a lot different from the sight and from curses. While a Gypsy can use a spell for personal reasons without dire conquences, it is a little well known fact that karma can pay a soul back ten fold. Generally, Gypsies use spells to either help the needy or to banish an evil force.

GENERAL: Jaelle has fairly dark skin due to her heirtage. Her eyes are fairly large and round. Jaelle's lips are full, and on the right hand side, just above her lips resides a beauty mark- a mole. According to her great grandmother, she has been kissed by a spirit. Her hair is long, falling several inches past her shoulders, reaching down to about the length of the bra strape. Her hair can take on this wild look, even if she brushes it all the time. Rarely doesn't it actually do what she sets out to make it look like, so Jaelle rarely messes with her hair aside from taking a brush to it.
ATTIRE: Jaelle likes to wear alot of jewerly, especially the rose pendant her mother passed down to her- it represents a curse that one of her ancestors started that still has not come to completation. Her clothes are generally off the wall, although she does have her moments where she dresses with the crowd. THIS outfit is something Jaelle would wear often. [/SIZE]

QUIRKS/HABITS: Jaelle has this habit of twitching her nose when she is either thinking or she dislikes something. Another habit of Jaelle's is bitting her lower lip when she is nervous- although she is not nervous often.

PERSONALITY First thing to know about Jaelle is that she dislikes her first name, but only because its pronounced jail, and who wants to be called Jail all the time? She goes by her middle name, Cassadie, or Cass for short to those she considers friends. Cass is a witty, stubborn, prideful young lady whose seen a lot of the world due to her nomadic ways. She has absolutely no desire to be apart from her family to attend school- and really who ever does? Cassadie has a hard time just staying in one place for too long, and prefers to have the freedom to roam as she desires, and should that be taken away from her she tends to get grumpy and snappy. Cassadie is not to the kind of person to make big choices lightly- despite most people thinking she makes decisions at the drop of a dime. Cass is a master of persuasion, and even better at telling lies.
Cass can be extremely stubborn, not willing to admit when she needs help or when she's wrong. She is very independent, having learned from childhood that outside of the nomadic tribe that she grew up in, she should trust no one. Depend on no one. Despite growing up with that lesson, Cass is a very sociable pereson, enjoying the company of people of all types. Because so many judge her based on her heirtage, Cass has learned the importance to look beyond the skin. However, knowing not too judge by skin and actually doing so is a little more difficult than it seems. Cass has had problems in the past with people she considers outsiders, and while she's working on her attidude towards them, she still has a few problems. She is not the type of person to hold back her personal oppinion just for the sake of not hurting someone's feelings. Cass is a very open, and honest person. She calls things just as she sees them, and she doesn't exactly watch what she says, being a very blunt person. Some people have some issues with her because Cassadie is too blunt.
Cass doesn't take higher education as she should, prefering to skip school than actually showing up. Since she has spent almost all of her life moving from place to place, picking up her education in spurts. Because of this, she does not think to highly of school. Especially since in the past her class mates have not always been the most kind. Even more so when Cass was younger and would tell the kids in her class their futures- which ended up just creeping[/SIZE]

HISTORY: Jaelle Cassadie Mitchells was the product of a wild romance between her gypsy mother, Mala Pavlov, and her outsider father, David Mitchells. Their romance lasted roughly three months. However from that fairly short romance, Mala became pregnant with Jaelle. While the romance was officially over between Mala and David, David was still informed that Mala was pregnant, and even after the birth, he tried to play an important part in the childs life. David tried the nomadic thing for a whole, but before Jaelle's birth he concluded that the life was too rough for him, and so he waited for the birth of his daughter back in his home town. When Jaelle was finally born, the fight for custody begain. Both parents wanted Jaelle to live with them. When Jaelle was around the age where she would have to attend school, David tried filing for full custody. However, it was around that time that Jaelle's gift begain showing up, and in the end it was decided that it was best if she stayed with her mother and the people in the nomadic tribe. While this was the final decision, David still wanted time with his child, and so it was agreed that Jaelle would spend several weeks during the year with her father. This worked up until Jaelle became middle school aged, when she'd already learned that the outsiders did not like the gypsy kind. So she started trying to get out of spending time with her father, who by this time had married and had another daughter named Sara. Jaelle, who already had an older brother by her mother and was accustomed to sharing, did not see eye to eye with her younger half sister. [/SIZE]
