History: At the age of 14, Lucindia Darwin barely escaped the fire that took the lives of her parents and older brother.
Forced to move from her home in North Carolina to Ohio with her Aunt , Uncle, and their son, Mark
. Her room was connected to Marks. When she was 15, Mark raped her.

Soon after the diverery of her baby, a homeless man tried to take the baby to pon off for money. He had gotten a full 10 steps from her before a fire started to consume him. Her baby, who's name was Ally, was safe from the fire.
On Lucy's 17th birthday, Ally died of cancer. The lose of her baby destrusted Lucy. 
A year later, Lucy was having a nightmare and a fire broke out. The building she was in went down fast, everyone in there but Lucy died. Then Ms. Emma Frost,
of the mutant institution had heard about the building catching on fire and its only survivor. She thought that it had seemed a little fishy, so she decided to check out the person who survived theblow out. Once learning that Lucy was a mutant who didnt know how to control her powers, she gave her a choice. A choice of living on her own on the streets with everyone afriad of her or to come to the mansion and join the X-Team and have a real family and learn to control her mutant powers. Lucy liked the idea of actually having a family, so she took up on Emma's offer
