sumiko airi sato!
- - - - - -
full name: Sumiko Airi Sato
Portrayed by: Aoi Yu
age: Twenty
grade: Junior
birthday: March 3rd, 1989
ethnicity: Japanese
sexual orientation: Straight
group or grade: Strange Land
eye color: amber
hair color: dark, chesnut, brown
height: 5'3
weight: 109 lbs
built: Sumiko is a fairly petite young lady, despite how she tries to act. While she is not bone skinny, she's not exactly...blessed. She has the body of a dancer, and considering that she had spent several years learning dance, she would call that a great accomplishment. She's not overly muscline, however her muscles are fairly well tone, as she does like to keep her body in shape, while at the same time pigging out on junk food.
fashion sense: Sumiko doesn't dress one way or another. If she likes somethings, she's known to wear it, even if it doesn't seem to match anything. She likes to think of her clothing choice as being fairly free spirited. For the most part, her out fits are very thrown together, rarely seeing the 'hippi' outifits that lerks in her closest. Her closest if filled with a combination of very bright clothes, and very dark, black, clothes. Generally what she wears protrays her mood. She loves boots, and owns more then several pairs.
Mother: Yasuko - 55
Father: Oozora - 56
Sibling(s): Mitsuo Sato - brother - 24
Other: Ayanna Sato-Grandmother-76
Pet(s): N/A
History:Yasuko and Oozora were from the same small villiage, and in turn had known each other for their entire lives. While they hadn't been close originally, it was none-to-surprising when they married. It was a match made in heaven, a great one to say the least. It was a politically match their parents wanted, and a love match the two desired. While they were in love, things hadn't been easy between them. During the first five years of marriage, Yasuko had had many misscarriages, and was growing farther into a depression she wasn't sure she would be able to dig herself out of. Then came Mitsuo, the child they had so desperately tried to have. Mitsuo was the perfect son, and the family dotted upon him.
Five years passed rather uneventfully, no big bangs. Then word arrived that Yasuko's brother, Akio, had died, leaving his year old daughter homeless, with no hope, being that the girl's mother had died in childbirth. Knowing in their deepest heart of hearts, Yasuko and Oozora adopted their neice, Sumiko, and raised her as their own child. Their son, Mitsuo, was at first very jealous. However that changed when Sumiko had misplaced herself, and Mitsuo had found her. Sumiko had clung to her brother, suddenly no longer afraid because he was there. From then on out Mitsuo had a protective strict a mile long.
As Sumiko grew older, she was always surrounded by people who loved her, and was never told about the adoption. When middle school came around, Sumiko made lots of new friends, and was always doing school activities. Something encouraged so she would get into a good college. An important person Sumiko met in middle school was --- jirou danno. While all he had ever treated her like was a little sister, Sumiko couldn't help but to have a major crush on him. As a few years passed, --- jirou danno left Japan to study over in Seoul. Sumiko, putting on a brave front, had wished him well, however those who knew her better knew she was hurting. As years passed by, Sumiko did a lot of growing up, hoping for the chance to show --- jirou danno that she could be someone he could love, and be proud of. Graduating high school, Sumiko set off to the university in Seoul, Korea, where she has been to this day.
[li]Sumiko is very fond of the starling silver heart shaped necklace that her grandmother gave her when she turned ten years old. She has always taken very good care of it, and wears it all the times. Rarely is she actually seen without it. Generally she keeps it hidden under her shirt, not wanting it to be damaged, or stolen.
[/li][li]Sumiko loves music, no matter what the genre. She finds it fairly comforting to just sit around with her oversized head phones hooked up to her Ipod while she is lounging about doing her homework, or various other things.
[/li][li]Stuffed animals are like, her major weakness. She has more then she really should, and each one of them has a nickname. A sure fire way to gain her forgiveness is to give her a stuffed animal, one she doesn't already own. However not many people know that about her, and she's not one to tell them.
[/li][li]Shoes are her fetish, especially boots. Her closet is filled with many types of shoes. While she loves them to pieces, she couldn't give you names or brands. That takes more skill then she'd care to extract in her high price fetish. No need to make things worse!
[/li][li]She is addicted to watching some Jdrama. She finds the shows to be absolutely adorable, and secretly wished she could lead a life like some of these people. Without all the drama that tends to follow and makes things hard for the character of course.
Dislikes:
[/li][li]Like with many people, she assumes, Sumiko can not stand being told what to do, even if she does follow orders. It grates her nerves to have to stay silent and obey what her family says. Sometimes, yeah it is helpful and convient, but other times, it just plain gets in the way.
[/li][li]Another dislikes would have to be video games. She never could understand why so many people enjoyed them, although her brother has tried to fill her in the loop.
[/li][li]Overly religious people who press others to 'convert to the right religion' annoys her to know end. While she doesn't attend anything formal, Sumiko is very aware of her believes and dislikes it when others try to convert her.
[/li][li]Does anyone like those perverts who bring things a step or eight too far? Don't they know when to quit? Sure a little pervertedness between friends can be funny, but really now, learn to stop before you get too far ahead of yourself.
[/li][li]The people who try to act like they are all that and a bag of popcorn, well they could go play in traffic for all she cared.
Interests:
[/li][li]Well theres always the interst in gaining --- jirou danno's love, other than as family love, but so far that has been a bust, saddly enough.
[/li][li]Sumiko is going to school with two purposes in mind: to become a history teacher, or to own an art gallary. She has always loved art and history.
[/li][li]Though she is not very good at it, Sumiko enjoys cooking, mostly western foods so far, but as time goes on she changs what she cooks. It all depends on her tastes buds at the time.
[/li][li]Sumiko actually wouldn't mind becoming a famous singer, having enjoyed music all her life. However she is not holding her breathe for that to come true.
[/li][/ul]
flaws: Sumiko can be very narrow minded when she's trying to reach her goals. Rarely does she actually see the bigger picture. She is overly stubborn, and a little to saracastic for her own good.[/size][/blockquote]
Personality: Sumiko is definitely not an angel. She tends to be a little too headstrong for that label. Sumiko has always a mind of her own, and the willingness to see her plans go through. She is not a party girl, although she does love to have fun. She has always been dedicated to her studies, a good student to say the least. She has always been a fairly popular person, haveing more friends then she could possibly count. Theres always been the one friend with whom she could swear she had lost her heart too. Sumiko generally isn't one to dwell in the past, however she has yet to let him go, mentally of course because he had moved away.
Sumiko is not known for bouts of depression, and so whenever she's feeling down, it concerns many of her friends. She loves to have fun and make people laugh, being some what of a clown. Sumiko is faisty, and pretty saracastic. She tries to keep the upper hand of whatever she's doing. Sumiko loves children, pure and simple. She acts more mother to her two year old neice, or at least as been ever since her neice's mother tore herself out of the picture.

Owen was the kind of guy that really grew on you. Many, Dee-Dee was sure, didn't like him, but Dee-Dee had always had a blast with him. He was the kind of guy who she could easily flirt with, and either something happened or nothing did, it was whatever between them. Neither cared to go into relationships, which made it perfect for them to just chillax, flirt, and if the one night stand ever repeated self, that too. While she wanted to have a meaningful relationship at some point in her life, it wasn't now, and it would never be with Owen. The two were just a little too alike for Dee-Dee's tastes. She didn't want someone who was just the male version of herself. She wanted someone who was different. She wanted passion, angry, and most of all, great sex.
The way Dee-Dee figured it, she was young, too young to even think about slowing down, getting caught up with a guy. And then there was her career. Singing was an outlet that she couldn't see herself ever given up, even if the band decided to split. She would always sing, either to herself, or she'd join some damn church to get her singing done. She wasn't particular on where and when, so much as she was able to continue what she loved to do. Sure she hoped like all hell that Keep It Caroline didn't break up, but things like that happened. Bands rarely lasted forever now-a-days. It was a sad fact that everyone in this business had to come to terms with at one time or another.
" Well do share, Owen, don't keep me waiting." She said to him. Her friendship with Owen was easy, didn't take much effort. Of course that was probably because they were mostly party friends, and there for didn't really lean on each other for support. It was the kind of friendship Dee-Dee figured she needed more of, even if that wasn't true. Her close friends she was so emotionally tied to them it wasn't funny. She couldn't picture ever being without them. It would surely be a black day for her. Of course, she would always have her mother, but who wanted to have their mother be their whole world of friendships? That was just a little to weird to think about. Dee-Dee downed her drink down, more then ready to start feeling the buzz, to get that tipsy feeling. Being sober just made her think too much.
She laughed as she watched Owen try to flag down the bartender. It would have been much simplier had Owen just asked her to call the horny bartender over, after all she did have boobs. " I'll take whatever the house beer is. " She ordered, raising her voice above the noise when the bartender had taken Owen's order. She would start like before she got into the hard liquors, as she always did. She liked to remember some of the night after all. The good, the bad, the sad, the overly dramatic, all of it.
" Perhaps she just can't handle someone as sexy as you. Or perhaps she needs some encouragement... " She commented. She herself had not spotted a single looker, other then Owen, when she had walked in and come through the dancefloor to the bar area. Most of what she saw could not dance for shit, sad as that was. She hadn't even seen a single good looking guy, once again, except for Owen. It was sad really, but it was still early out, and after a few more drinks she wouldn't even be able to tell who was hot and who was not.Word Count: 648
