Megan Taylor-Anne Crowder]The basics
Name: Megan Taylor-Anne Crowder
Title:
Age: 30
Birthdate: February 29th, 1978
Orientation: Straight
relationships:
Megan has been through many relationships through her 30 years of life. From the sweet and innocent first true love, down to the abusive boyfriend whom would've killed her if she hadn't left when she did. It wasn't just the love life in which she has shared relationships with either. Megan has few tight friends, not to say that she doesn't have other friends outside the ones she generally hangs with, in which she has gone through everything with. One friend in particular, its seemed, she went through a lot with. His name was Arnett.
They had the classical 'next door neighbors who've lived next to each other all of theirs lives and then fell in love' type of thing going on. They had been friends since forever, and so when they started dating no one was surprised. While the passion was a gentle one, Megan was sure that he was the 'one'. At 17 Arnett purposed to her. He was 18 and heading to the army. He was shipped off to a different country before they could say their 'I Do's'. One year passed, and at the age of 18, government officials showed up on his mother's front porch. Still living next door, Megan had been outside when she saw them pull up into the Bailey's drive way. She saw the look on Mrs. Bailey's face and knew instantly that Arnett wasn't coming home alive.
Sometime after she got over the loss of Arnett, Megan started dating again. Just when she thought she found a real good man, Chandler, that the abuse started. At first it was just small things, verbal things. It started with calling her a sleeper and by the end of the relationship she was being sent to the hospital. It was the first time she was sent to the hospital that she knew things would never get better, and that she had too leave him before he 'accidentally' killed her. Leaving was just as hard as she knew it was going to be. She had become accustomed to the abuse and once the cycle began it was nearly impossible to break.
It was thanks to Arnett's older sister that she was able to get away safely. It was during this time that she moved from France to England. She was 24 at the time.
Occupation: Getting her teaching degree in France, Megan was a High School history teacher who enjoyed her job. After moving to England, Megan waited tables as she went to the English schools to get her teaching degree in England. It took her no time at all before she left the small cafe and went back to teaching. While teachers don't get paid overly much, she has always enjoyed her job and would never give it up just to get rich.
Megan has always loved history and had dreamed of being a teacher ever since she could remember. Going to school had been her outlet to forgetting Arnett and after her depression it had picked her back up to watch her students and interact with them, helping them when she could. She was known, back in france, to be extremely generous and a very understanding teacher. In England she is still making her teaching name to the students, who can't make up their minds about her.
Megan hated waiting tables, but she didn't let that show in her work. She worked at a expensive resturant where the tips where always high and well worth the work. With this job she pushed herself through college, with the help of her inheirtance she had recieved from her grandfather and father. Most of the expenives she paid herself, no wanting to relay on what she had been born into to get her to where she was. It felt almost like cheating in her books. The appearance
With medium dirty blonde hair, Megan hair is naturally curly. While she does straighten it at times, she prefers to wear it as natural as possible. She has never dyed her hair and never plans to, though when she starts to gray she may change her mind. Her hair isn't too thick nor is it too thin, in her eyes it was just right and simply went well with what God had chosen to give to her. Growing up she had kept it long, but after Arnett's death she had cut it really short. She didn't like it short and was thankful when it grew out and could reach a little bit below her shoulders. She found that she liked her hair better in between long and short the most.
Her eyes are an amazing shade of blue. Neither are they too light or too dark. They tend to pop out even if she doesn't wear eyeliner or mascara to make them do so even more. They are not too far apart. While her nose is a tad bit bigger then she would've preferred, she likes it and thinks it helps bring out her feminine features a little bit more, though that does sound a bit out. How could a big nose bring out anything nice in a person, much less feminine? Sure its strange, but Megan is perfectly OK with it, and that's what is really important.
Standing only at five feet and one inches, Megan has learned to deal with her lack of height by simply not caring that over half of the people she mets is taller then she herself is, something she had learned over time. She had always had an hour glass shaped body, something she enjoyed flaunting when the mood suited her the most, which really wasn't all that often at all. Heightening in at 109 pounds, Megan is in great shape, minus the small love handles she simply can't seem to get rid of. She'd had 36B's ever since her chest had grown, which was neither impressive or shameful. With her petite body type, she was thankful that her chest hadn't gotten any bigger, though sometimes it would have been nice she was sure.
Her since of style has been all over the wall ever since she could remember. While to some degree she followed the fashion trends, she tended to make up her own as well. One day she would be dressed to par and the next she was back in her pj's looking completely relaxed. Megan didn't particular care for shopping and there for her closest may be a little lacking in the 'hipist' trends, though really after 30 years should she still care about what she looked like?
Sunglasses and flip flops are her fetishes. She absolutely loves wearing sunglasses and flip flops, even if the season would say differently. Megan just finds the flip flops to be majorly comfortable, and sunglasses protected her eyes from the bright sun, so how could they not be simply awesome. She is generally seen with sunglasses on the top of her head and a pair of flip flops on her feet, though in the winter she does change to regular closed toe shoes.
Best feature: " I have always thought my eyes are my absolute best features. They just seemed to always gain me complaints when I least suspect it. I have always been a firm believer that the eyes are a portal into someone's soul, and that your deepest desires can been seen clearly through them. While I do like the way I like, my eyes are most definitely my best feature, in my option."
Worst feature: " I'm sure no body cares to admit that they have love handles, no matter how small they may be. I myself am in that category. While my body is in great shape, I can't seem to get rid of my small love handles. Its something I've learned to accept, but I'll never give up trying to get rid of them. I'm not a quitter after all. "The Personality
Likes: Megan has always been a fan of country music1 from the states, though don't ask her why because she really wouldn't be able to give you an answer other then thats where her tastes lay. She always loves her flip flops2 and sun glasses3, and is seen wearing them more then frequently. Megan simply loves animals4, with elephants5 being her favorite animal out there. While most women enjoy the wonderfully chocolately tastes of a candy bar, Megan finds herself more drawn to the sweet, sour, hard candy6, like jolly ranchers, or war heads. She adores fruit flavored smoothies7 and tends to get random cravings for them. While the ipod tends to confuse her a little when she tries to work it, her ipod8 is one of her most favorite things that she uses on a daily base. Though her closet is filled with colorful things, Megan really prefers darker colors like green9 and blues10. While she has never played any sports, she enjoys watching baseball11 and football12, although she doesn't really follow football all that well. A talent she always liked having but never sharing was her singing13 voice.
Dislikes: There are many things in Megan's life that she dislikes, hates, and even fears, like spiders1, or even rioting fruits2 that she could have used to make her fruit smoothie. For some reason, Megan has always been claustrophobic3, just the idea of being in a small space made her nervous. Traveling long distances in a car4, Megan finds distasteful. Whats up with people eating cute animals5, like bunnies and squirrels? Did they not have enough of the normal food or something? Beef6 was something she couldn't stomach, never have never would. Something she never could figure out was why woman insulted their own gender7 instead of defending themselves against that of the male gender. Just didn't make any sense to her sensible mind. While Megan isn't necessarily afraid of heights8, she doesn't particularly like it. One thing that gets under her skin is traffic hour9 when it gets so backed up it takes like an hour to get somewhere that was only ten minutes away. When you call her once, please don't repetitively call10 hoping she'll pick up one of those times, one is enough really. Just leave a message!
Dearest ambition: Megan's dream growing up was that she and Arnett would marry and start a family, but that dream crashed when he died. She strived to get rid of the grief that ate at her, and by doing so she pursued her other dream, being a high school history teacher. Going to school gave her a break from thinking about Arnett and helped her stop the mourning process, something she wasn't sure she would ever stop.
Greatest fear: While she has many fears, her claustrophobia is her worst fear. She can't stand being in small spaces and being over crowded. There has been several cases when she has passed out do to the overwhelming sensation of being en caged in a room that was none to big.
Most intriguing quirk:
After thirty years of breathing the earths fine air, Megan has gone through so much to have gotten where she is today. As with many, her personality has changed as she matured through the years. What hasn't changed is her sweet nature. While she has a certain feisty flair, Megan cares deeply for the people in her life. She knows that she can't help everyone, but she tries to do her best.
When she was younger, perhaps around four or so, Megan would bring home stray animals. This would drive her mother crazy, but Megan would continue to do so. She simply could not leve a poor lonely kitten alone, could she? Megan had a special kind of bravery, the kind that tended to get her into more accidental trouble then she cared to count, or remember. With this she could fight the dragon that was her neighbor's dog as it was barking and trying to bite her. Or how she climbed up as far as she could only to remember just how scared of heights she was and ended up being stuck in the tree until she heard her best friend getting bullied and she rushed back down to help him out.
Love was never new to Megan, so when she and Arnett fell in love, she never questioned it. Though known as a hell-cat, it was love that tame the free spirit inside. Through Arnett she learned how to be soft, learned the graceful ways of womanhood. While she still had her fun, Megan never went overboard with it.
When Arnett died, Megan shattered into a million pieces, completely unable to pick herself back up. she was nineteen years old when she lost the only man she ever dreamed of marrying. During this time of her life, Megan was forced to take anti-depressants. Everyone thought she would never be the same, and they were right.
Two years after Arnett's death, Megan finally returned to the world. While she wasn't the same, Megan quickly fell back into her old life, trying to be happy once again. Megan became very independent, though she still leaned on her two closest friends for support when she was down. They were the ones who got her to start dating again.
After dating an abusive man, Megan became weary of love. While she knew true love was wonderful, Megan swore to give up on men. Either they die or were mean, in her limited experience.
Megan has never been a shy person and while she can be rather blunt, she withholds herself from the people she mets. She doesn't trust easily, and if you break her trust she'll never trust you again. While she is not a ditz, she does have her 'blond' moments. Since Arnett's death, her free spirit has been unleashed and soars gently with in her.The History
Best memory:
" I was eight years old when I received my very first kiss. It was summer time, my favorite season because we had no school. As per-usual, Arnett and I were riding our bikes, racing against each other to win the 'Gold'. It was a game we'd played a million of times through out our childhood. It was hot and sticky, but when your eight years old, you don't care. we were having a blast, and that was all that was important.
We were taking a break from all of the riding, drinking ice cold lemonade on his front porch stairs. We were laughing wildly as we spilled all our crazy dreams with each other, something that kept changing daily and simply needed to be told. When he stopped laughing, I did too. Looking over at him, I asked what was wrong. " Do you think you'll ever dream about marrying me Megan?" I knew he wanted a serious answer.
When I was eight, I was pure tomboy through and through. Marriage had never crossed my mind, and at such an early age why should it have? " I don't know Arnett. do you dream of marrying me?" I questioned him. " I don't dream it, I know it." And with that he pressed his lips against mine. And as you can imagine, squeals of laughter and 'ews' followed suit."
Worst memory:
" At the age of five, my grandfather passed away. Me and my grandpa had been close. always out casted by the rest of the family because of our age, me being the youngest and him being the oldest, it just seemed natural for use to team up together. We did everything together, along with Arnett of course.
Our favorite thing to do was fishing. Our fishing trips normally just consisted of me and him, since Arnett did not like fish. we would spend hours just goofing off, something that when your actually trying to catch fish, your should not do, or else you'd scare off all the fish.
I was in kindergarten when he died. All I really remember is being confused as my mother tearfully tried to explain what had happened to my grandfather, to her father. When I finally understood, I cried for days. At his funeral, I refused to get out of the coffin, or release my grandfather. I was crying, making all sorts of promises if only he would just wake up. "
Top five life changing moments
Grandfather Dieing1 was he first time she ever felt so broken. All ways being close to him, Megan didn't understand why her grandpa had left her. At such an early age, she really didn't understand what dieing meant and just thought that he didn't want to see her anymore, though why she didn't know. He was probably her very first friend and she learnt a lot through him, like how to treat others.
Another life changing moment was when she and Arnett became friends2. They were only two years old and didn't under really anything, but they had hit it off immidately. The two were inseprapable from the very begining, cooing over God knows what. Arnett was a big part of Megan's life and continued to be so for the rest of his life.
Arnett Dieing3 was hard on Megan and one of the most life changing experinces she has ever come across. So much about her changed when she lost him, and for a while she was in the dark clutches of depression. Cheerful before hand, his death brought about a seriousness in Megan. He had meant the world too her and he was taken away, much like her grandfather, though they had a different type of relationshi all together.
The abuse from Chandler4 made Megan that not all guys can be trusted, something she probably should have already learnt but hadn't because she lived a sheltered life and had only dated Arnett before Chandler. With Chandler abusing Megan, she learnt to be strong and at some point to stand up for herself and not allow others to knock her down. While she was scared of Chandler, she knew she couldn't stay near him or else she would be killed, so she did what she had to and ran away.
Moveing from France to England5 was a big step for Megan. While her excuse was to get far from Chandler, she had to admit to herself that she had always loved England, the land of her father. She moved to the small town her father had been from and never regretted her decision. That was five years ago and she is still going strong.
Ancelin was born into an aristocratic family who wanted nothing more then 'sell' her to the highest bidder: meaning they wanted her to marry into a high class family with a wonderful background. A pure frenchmen. She had spent most of her life listening to her parents but when she lost her first love, a man her parents had approved of, Ancelin rebelled against them. After three years Ancelin met and fell in love with an englishman, Jonathan Crowder.
Jonathan had grown up in a small town, the son of a wealthy family who had not believed in flaunting its money around. His father and mother were the kindest people one could ever find and only wanted his happiness when he finally did chose to take a wife. He had been visiting friends when he had met the love of his life, Ancelin. He had a hard time convencing her parents to allow them to marry, and when they stand firm for over six months he said bedamn them. He and Ancelin married two months later and moved into the larger home beside her parents for spite.
Ancelin and Jonathan celbrated the joy of their first pregnancy some many years after they had married. They knew they were having twins, from the size Ancelin had grown in such a short time, but they had no clue what gender the babies would be. Neither cared the two would be, they already loved them despite gender. On Feb. 29th, 1978 Megan Taylor-Anne Crowder and her twin sister, Belinda Beth-Anne Crowder, came into the world.
Megan and Belinda gave their parents hell during their first year. They had been born early, as twins often do, and were underweight. Nursing them had been hard, but after the first year things started becoming easier for the brand new parents. Megan had already started showing signs of being the 'wild child' so to speak, but also being the protective type.
When Megan was two and new family moved into the house across the street from theirs. The family had a three year old boy and daughter on the way. The boy, Arnett, and Megan were instant friends and were often together, forcing their mothers to bring them to each others house. At first Belinda was jealous of this new kid who seemed to have her sister's complete attention, but over time she got over her jealousy and started playing with the two.
Two things happened to Megan and the Crowder family when Megan and Belinda turned five. First was the birth of their younger brother, Edgardo. Edgardo was to be the last of the Crowder children. Both Megan and Belinda saw to it to protect their younger brother. Often left out of the fun, Edgardo would crawl after his sisters, wanting to tag along.
Also at the age of five, Megan lost one of the most important adult figures in her life, her grandfather. While he had lived in England, he had always came and visited his grandchildren and over the time, Megan and he had spent a lot of time together. She had respected the man for his wisedom and his kindness and would continue to missing him after his death for the rest of her life.
Arnett and Megan started dating when Megan was thirteen. Their friendship had taken its natural course and lead them straight to love before either of them really realized it themselves. They would continue to date for the rest of Arnett's life.
In high school, Megan had joined many clubs to help her get into a good college to become a teacher. She excelled in all her classes, though she had much trouble with her math. During these years Megan became more feminine, which had been because Arnett had stopped treating her like a boy when they had started dating. Megan had many friends, but very few best friends.
When Arnett went off to the army, Megan knew she would never see him again, though she never told anyone of this. When she was told the news of his death, Megan pretty much stopped functuning. This was around the time she was 19. Her sister, Belinda, had swooped in and taken her away from their parents home and forced her too move in with her and her boyfriend.
When she stopped visubly mourning for Arnett, her friends forced her out to clubs where she met chandler at the age of 24. They dated until her 25th birthday, in which he beat her so badly that she was sent to the hospital. Fearful of her life, Arnett's sister and her closest friend helped her pack her things and leave.
For two months she stayed with her mother and father. Putting much thought into moving away from France. For much of her life, she had spent going back and forth between France and England, spending time with her english relatives when she could. Informing her family of her decision, she spent a week getting things together before boarding the plane.
She lived in her grandfather's house, the one she had inheirted through her father, though he was thankfully still alive, in Lampton Hill. It was a rather small house, but it fit her needs perfectly. Megan spent a few years getting her teaching degree in England, and as she did so, she worked at a fancy resturant in another town. Once she had her degree, Megan quit the resturant and applied for a job at the local high school.Family
Relationships: (None are on this site but I wanted to show her relationships with her family members anyways. )
Ancelin (Mother; 62): Megan and her mother had never been really close until Arnett's death. Her mother, having lost her first love in much the same way, was very understanding of Megan. Ancelin helped Megan out tremindously, and Megan was sure that she would not have survived without her mother's constant love. Ancelin is a wise woman who has always loved her children equally, or at least did her best to love them equally since each child had their trying times that had drove her crazy. Ancelin knew that Chandler was abusing her daughter, and it was Ancelin who set for plans to help Megan leave.
Jonathan (Father; 63): Megan had loved her father dearly. He was so much like his father, the man who had been Megan's first friend ever, her grandfather. He was kind hearted and always had the time for his children, often leaving work to simply play with them. Megan was the defination of a Daddy's Girl and tried to make her father proud of her, which went partly well since she tended to get into much trouble. He had been the rock in Megan's life when everything seemed to be sinking in around her. He had threated Chandler when he found out about the abuse, which Megan had hide from him up until the point she had to leave france. He sent her to his anstersal home in Lampton Hill.
Belina (twin Sister;30): Megan and Belina were exact opposites in almost everything, but they were as close as possible. They shared rooms and often Belina could be found with Megan and Arnett when they were children, though Belinda wasn't there consitantly, only when she was tried of playing barbies by herself. Belina had taken Megan in after Arnett's death and allowed her to stay with her until she was up on her own feet, and even then they stayed together. Belina had known that her sister should not be around the places she and Arnett had grown up together at, and so she had thought Megan staying with her had been perfect. During the time of Chandler, Belinda had moved to the states, but she stayed tuned in to Megan's life through constant phone calls to her sister. Megan is five minutes older then Belinda.
Edgardo (Brother; 25): Being five years younger then his sisters, Edgardo was often left out on a lot of things. Both Megan and Belinda acted as his protectors, something that had never changed no matter how old he was. Edgardo was closest to Megan, feeling as if he could tell her anything and knowing she wouldn't judge him what anything he said. Megan was the first he told he was gay. Edgardo had thought that this news would surely change Megan's view of things, but it hadn't in the least. She was the one who helped break the news to the rest of the family. Edgardo was her beaken when the world threatened to close around her after Arnett's death. It was through his experiences that had helped bring Megan back to reality. Edgardo actually went after Chandler and beat him up after the first time Chandler had laid hands on his sister.
Darien (Grandfather; deceased at 75): Her grandfather had been everything in her life, and even after his death, Megan continued loving him, and missing him. While she was too young to remember much about him, many of the lessons he had taught her stayed with her throughout her whole life. He had once predicted that she and Arnett would one day fall in love. When she had stuck out her tongue and said ew, he had chuckled and dropped the subject. She was very sad when he left, though she was too young to really stay sad for too long of periods.About the roleplayer
